I believe I was born as a nature-lover and a naturalist
... and never have succeeded in changing!
Minerals and fossils, particularly from Alsace, my native region, were the passion during my childhood and adolescence.
Then came the time to go to Paris to study linguistics and gradually my passion changed to the insects, beginning with fossils, then the extant, first ground beetles for almost 10 years and then
scarabs, on which I have published some 200 works in
25 years.
However, I never gave up the photography and starting 2006, it was obviously an important hobby again...
First I bought bridge cameras but the induced compromises were problematic and could not satisfy me.
So I went to a dslr-camera, which I can not do
without.
For now, I am working with Canon EOS- bodies, APS-C and
FF, associated with various objectives of the L series, that give me entire
satisfaction and share my outings in all seasons and weathers
...
